My WHY.

I have struggled with depression and have been very hard on myself. I have judged no one like I’ve judged me. I see when others do this, I see such an opportunity for love.

My Why – Play with your food.

Because I have judged myself repeatedly about what I should and shouldn’t eat, how I should look and feel. What is healthy and unhealthy.

What I know… deep change, lasting change, does not come out of a forced action plan driven from self-loathing or war.

My experience tells me, when I am happy, connected, having fun, living in the moment and in truth, I make positive choices. Ones that feel good and are right for my body. The glutton doesn’t completely take over.

It’s also about exposure to things that can be implemented right away that make a difference in the whole picture. For example having healthy “default” foods, things you know you like that are healthy and readily available.

Our mission with Play with your food is to dissolve shame and guilt around food and replace it with fun, joy, awareness, pleasure and expanding your reach for healthy choices by exposure to choices.

For some people food is just something you eat everyday and for others it is time consuming, a struggle, a question, a fixation, a frustration OR a friend, a joy, a project, an art, a way of connection, creative expression, a delight and a way to express healthy natural living.

I know ALL of this very well. From being in a partnership with someone who has no strong relationship with food… it is just something you eat… to being me, who has struggled and been frustrated with what to eat into what I am today, delighted in the joys of food and being a conscious foodie. Food does not consume me any more… I consume it, mostly delightfully.

How has this shift happened for me? Play! Exploration, discovery, community, support and total mindset shifts. I now realize on a very deep level the importance of bringing joy to food… especially to those who have shame and struggle with their relationship to food. I love healthy, fresh, whole and raw foods and know that so many people aren’t even exposed to what real and raw even means in order to know whether they like it or not.

This is a chance to FULLY explore not only your relationships to various foods but to discover truly what you AND your body love. You won’t be happy eating “health” food you don’t like and your body won’t be happy with junk food that might be pleasing to your taste buds. I’m confident there is a way to love your food and be healthy and that’s what we so deeply want to share with you… through love, through play, through community, explore and discover your diet.

About Me :)

Rachelle Anslyn is known for thinking big and living an extraordinary life. Her passion for being authentic, creative, and vibrant has taken her to explore the depths of what is possible. She has traveled over 30 countries to work with clients, for volunteer aide, to study with yoga masters, and for the delight of cultural wisdom.

Rachelle has studied over 100 different dietary theories and learned straight from leading health experts and doctors such as Deepak Chopra, Andrew Weil, Sally Fallon, Mark Hyman, David Wolfe and many, many more. Rachelle graduated in 2009 from The Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York City.

Her mindset mastery came from attending The School for The Work of Byron Katie in New York City in 2001. The following year, Rachelle staffed The School working directly with Byron Katie in Los Angeles.

Rachelle has also studied with yoga masters around the globe in several traditions including Kundalini, Iyengar, Jivamukti, Ashtanga, Vibrant Living Yoga and Yoga Synergy. Through her experience with self inquiry, yoga, nutrition and the healing arts, Rachelle has cultivated a full spectrum mastery of living a vibrant purposeful life.
